ASP 2006

On Saturday morning, July 29th, at 9:20 AM, our APS team departed from our Community House for a week of joyous hard work with the people of Appalachia in West Virginia.

In spite of the knowledge that the week ahead would be a difficult one, there was nothing but joy in the hearts of the 20 adults and teens making the trip. They were embarking on a trip that would give them memories that would last a lifetime.

They returned one week later, their cameras bursting with pictures of their adventure.

“You Are the Light of the World” was the theme for ASP 2006 and that light was reflected though the tireless efforts of the FPC ASP team in the hills of West Virginia's Appalachian Mountains. The group returned on August 5th to the welcoming arms of family and friends, to much needed warm showers and to the comfort of their own beds. Their bodies were tired but their spirits filled with the satisfaction of a job well done.
