The Deacons will be hosting a Community Blood Drive on Saturday, March 24 from 9am-2pm at the Community House.  With your help we can reach our goal of collecting 30 pints of blood!  How can you help??  Simply give us 1 hour of your time (if you are able to donate).   Another way is to help us spread the word by encouraging your friends, coworkers and family members to consider donating.  If you are in pretty good health, are at least 17 years old and weigh 120 lbs, you can donate every 56 days.  FYI every pint of blood that is donated is  ...

• separated out into red blood cells (most refer to as “blood”),
• platelets (to help prevent/control bleeding)
•  Fresh Frozen Plasma (has numerous uses), so your one hour of time  helps 3 others in need.
