The Christian Education of the Fairmount Presbyterian church focuses on developing a strong faith foundation and commitment to discipleship as well as an understanding of church membership.
Education includes bible story instruction with understanding and application to daily living.
Children are introduced to bible instruction in our pre-school class and then our third grade students receive and begin using their bibles in the fall.
Through various hands-on activities, Scripture themes are reinforced.
Several forms of instructional materials are used to enhance the learning experience. In addition to Bible instruction, children engage in various service projects throughout the year, local and global.
Regular attendance in worship is used to create a lifelong church connection and students are instructed in the various of the components of the service.
Instruction continues until 6th grade when students graduate into a youth group format. Youth group activities include devotions, service projects and social events.
